Chocolate Mug Cake & Peanut Chantilly

If I had followed the calendar to the letter, today I would have made pancakes ...

But not want!

I decided instead to make THE recipe of the moment, the Mug Cake.

Another funny thing from the USA (!), Which consists in making in 5 minutes flat a delicious cake contained in a coffee cup and cooked in the microwave.

Something to satisfy an urgent desire…. of chocolate !!!

For fun, I made a peanut flavored whipped cream, which I placed on the top of each mug cake. It's a flavor duo that I really appreciate, but you already know that ...

Recipe for 2 Mug-Cakes:

{no need for a measuring cup, here the proportions are made with a teaspoon (cc) or tablespoon (cs), to go faster!}

- Melt 4 tbsp of unsalted butter in the microwave, set aside for the rest.

- In a container, mix 1 tsp of liquid vanilla, 2 eggs and 4 tbsp of powdered sugar.

- Separately, mix the dry ingredients: 4 tbsp of flour, 6 tbsp of cocoa powder, 1/4 tsp of baking powder and a pinch of salt. Then add this mixture to the previous mixture.

- Pour in the melted butter, mix one last time, and fill 2 mugs with this dough.

- Cook in the microwave for 1 or 2 minutes (1 minute = fondant, 2 minutes = well done). The duration is to be adapted to your own oven of course.

- Then make the peanut whipped cream: whip 20cl of whole liquid cream (30% fat) into a firm whipped cream with 2tbsp caster sugar. Once the whipped cream is well taken, add 2 tbsp of peanut butter previously relaxed with a fork. Whisk again, and place on each mug-cake.

Enjoy without waiting!

Great idea!!! For those little evenings when we crave chocolate and are too lazy to go out all the stuff, like Sunday night lol.
I absolutely have to think about buying 30% cream, I usually take light liquid cream and suddenly I'm blocked every time I have a little craving and the desire to achieve a of your recipes!

I tried and I failed again lol (not type please). It was overcooked, I will try again by lowering the power of the oven, I think mine is at 900w, it must be a lot. It was good anyway, not too sweet, that's what I like about your recipes!

    Hello,
I tested it yesterday. He is very good. For me 1mn to MO was sufficient the first cup I cooked it 1m30s c was overcooked.
I had a question: if I want to bake it I should put how much time / power in your opinion?

It looked tantalizing, but after realization it was a failure, very pasty, not chewy and even less melting. I'm so disappointed! I probably missed something… I think that the quantities indicated in cs and cc have something to do with it: a rounded cs has nothing to do with a level cs in terms of quantity. Perhaps more precise indications should be given? Anyway, it did not diminish my desire to test other recipes from this blog, which is a real call to gluttony!
