Ingredients to plan for this apple cinnamon crumble

To give the apples this melting aspect and to prevent it from rejecting their water during cooking, add a little flour and sugar. Choose apples that are not very sweet: the granny smith (green). I do not recommend the other apples because in the end it would be too sweet ... For the apple garnish, we also add a touch of lemon juice and of course cinnamon!

As for the crumble dough, you will need small oatmeal (I do not recommend large flakes for this recipe), classic flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, unsalted butter, and cinnamon.

Cinnamon is present in apples and in the dough: it is not overpowering you will see, the dose is balanced for the amount of crumble as a whole.

How to make this apple cinnamon crumble?

We start by preparing the apple filling : they are peeled and diced. Then we add the flour, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. We put aside for the rest.

To prepare the crumble dough, we mix together all the ingredients: small oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, melted butter. It only remains to crumble this sandy mixture on the apples placed in the gratin dish. Simple and fast!

How to taste this apple crumble?

This apple cinnamon crumble is delicious warm after taking it out of the oven. You can then serve it plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

This apple crumble can also be eaten cold: it is also very good! You can store it at room temperature if it is eaten within 24 hours or place it in the refrigerator for about 4 days.
